A Look Ahead: July Council Meeting 2024

This year, our agenda and regular meetings are both held in the 2nd floor Chambers of City Hall. They are also both live streamed on Facebook and YouTube.

What's coming up in this months council meeting? Check out the highlights below so you're informed before you even enter the building. Keep in mind- this is a summary. For more information see the agenda below, come to the meeting, send me questions, or wait for the post-meeting write-up!


Finance Items

  1. Resolution to approve a utility easement for Entergy within the Prairie Creek project.

  2. Resolution to accept a bid for 7 new video cameras to cover intersections.

  3. Appropriation of $69,110 to purchase new cameras to enhance public safety.

  4. Appropriation of $136,316.58 to purchase new playground equipment for Washburn Park.

  5. Resolution to authorize agreement with Flock Group for safety cameras.

  6. Resolution to amend the general fund budget to include HSA expenses.

  7. Reimbursement request for 1st Quarter Expenses for Arkansas Valley Alliance.

  8. Reimbursement request for 2nd Quarter Expenses for Arkansas Valley Alliance.

  9. Reimbursement request for 2nd Quarter Expenses for Alliance Workforce Development.

  10. Reimbursement request for 2nd Quarter Expenses for Boys and Girls Club.

  11. Resolution to authorize Friends of the Latimore House to submit 2 grants on behalf of the city.


Old Business Items

  1. Final Reading: vacation of an easement along North Knoxville submitted by Connect Church.

  2. Final Reading: vacation of right-of-way along West 13th St.

  3. Final Reading: vacation of a portion of West C Street right-of-way.

  4. Second Reading: vacation of a 50 ft. right-of-way on Mountain View Street and part of East Fir Street right-of-way.

  5. Second Reading: replat of Owens Corning Subdivision, 1089 Tyler Road, accepting the dedication of the easements to the city.

  6. Second Reading: final plat of West Harrell Addition, 2303 N Arkansas Ave, accepting the dedication of the easements to the city.

  7. Final Reading: final plat of Tyler Road Place, 502 Tyler Road, accepting the dedication of the easements to the city.


New Business Items

  1. Resolution granting license to Douglas Pehrson to use right of way for fencing.

  2. Ordinance accepting dedication of easements to the city for South El Paso addition.
