Russellville Depot's 100th Birthday Celebration

Friends of the Depot are busy planning a big birthday party for one of our city's historic landmarks, on May 27th. You are invited to "get on board" and save the date for celebrating these events and more around Pope County's railroad heritage. Start the day with Dining Car Brunch by Taste of Tech. Honor veterans, enjoy 10 decades of live music, shop the Depot Store and view Dardanelle Model Train Club's "best yet" exhibit. Bring the kids for Toys for Tots train rides and Kids 'Round the Rails Arts, Crafts, and Stories. Plan an evening picnic reunion with neighbors, family, classmates and more music. Order handy RRR picnic specials from downtown eateries or enjoy Taste of Tech Snacks to Go. Enter the 100th Birthday Cake Contest. Don't miss the Selfie Booth or Tales 'Round the Rails. Consider showing off your best moves at LaLa 'Round the Rails Dance Contest. Don't miss the flash mob. Dine, dance and stay for fireworks. There's something for everyone at the Depot's Birthday Bash.

Join us "on board!" Call 479-967-1437 to volunteer!

Linda Carnahan,* honorary chair

*In 1996, Friends of the Depot, a committee of Main Street Russellville, was formed to advocate for and raise funds for the rehabilitation of the Missouri Pacific Depot. FOD's first chairs were Laura Shinn and Lisa Ownbey Kirchner, followed by Linda Carnahan. Seven years later in 2004, through fundraising efforts and matching grants The Depot Project was complete. The first Reunion 'Round the Rails celebrated the rehabilitation and re-use of the Depot, now our "town square" and one of our city's prime venues for concerts, meetings, parties, weddings and reception and public events.
